George W. Cole

George holds a BA and a PhD in Physics, both from Yale University. He was a member of the Physics Research staff at Brookhaven National Laboratory for five years before joining Periphonics, a Long Island startup company specializing in telecommunications and voice processing. During 25 years with Periphonics, he held various senior management positions in Software, Engineering, Marketing and Sales until he retired in 2000. Since 2002, George has been President and General Manager of Isle au Haut Boat Services. During that time, the Isle au Haut Mailboat has been transformed from a privately owned and narrowly funded operation to a 501 (c) (3) corporation enjoying a broad base of public and private support.
